Hiking

Hey, thank you for visiting my blog. I hope after reading this you develop an interest for the great outdoors. Below is my adventure and experiences, happy reading!

My journey in hiking started in my early teen years, I love to challenge myself and taking on epic mountains! The joy of discovery, great views and the journey in trekking up mountains is never disappointing with actual experiences with friends and family.

As part of Duke of Edinburgh we challenged each other at school, few of us decided to take on Lake District National Park’s mountain Scafell Pike to prove that we will not give up until we get the sliver or gold award! Looking back now, Scafell Pike actually helped me and my friends to achieve our silver and gold award before our 25th birthday.

The challenge thought us to keep going when our body was telling us to stop, the views up in the mountain is so much worth it. Carrying on until we reached the top, cheering and celebrating is an unbelievable feeling on top of the mountain! I’ll never forget our first ever hike, what a great challenge and motivation it was. I’m so glad we made it to the top of Scafell Pike. This trek was the beginning of our mountain trek weekends and our yearly reunions!

The teenage spirit of hiking up a mountain grew and for me it became a hobby to carry on trekking. The hobby then lead to charity challenges taking up volunteers, friends and family to climb and conquer mountains to aid those less fortunate than us.

I know my mountain days ain’t behind me! Mountains can hide the most breathtaking views. In my friends circle, “Hike more, worry less” and “The mountains are calling me and I must go.” – John Muir became our motto and we carried on the hype!

My aim’s to take on international mountains around the world. First stop in November 2020, (If it’s safe for us to travel) I hope to take on Machu Picchu mountain in Peru to help build a school in Ghana. I will be taking my sister to join me and the charity’s staff and volunteers in Peru.

Please visit our donation page for more details and help us with any amount of donations. https://www.muslimgiving.org/Sisters4Ghana

In the future I want to also take on mount Kilimanjaro, Everest, K2 with many more … To conquer these great mountains I must train. With your support I can carry on challenging myself and doing what I love the most.

Please help me and my sister to raise much needed funds for Ghana’s school. We’re excited to trek up Machu Picchu’s mountain whilst learning the history behind the 15th Century Inca citadel in Southern Peru.
